Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Grip-EZ Tea Infuser with CupCustomer Review: much too small Summary: 2 Stars
This too small to make even 1 cup of tea, and can be awkward to fill. Also the holes should be smaller.
Customer Review: Good price, not very well functioning Summary: 1 Stars
Received the product in the mail today and decided to give it a try. I wanted it for my loose leaf teas, so I used that. The tea was full-leaf and it did not fit into the infuser. Could not get even a full teaspoon inside. Plus, when closed, the stems stick out causing sediment to filter to the bottom of the cup (I am looking at it now).
Also, as with another review -- the plastic handles do spin, causing it to be awkward to hold. I will be getting a cup style infuser tonight.
Customer Review: Not for dry, fine or ground leaves Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this to infuse Yerba Matte tea. The ground leaves escape through the grid and through the space where the two strainers meet. I ended up with a bitter brew with ground leaves at the bottom of my cup. And it's so much work to send it back. If trying to infuse whole fresh leaves, this may work though, but then you wouldn't need an infuser to do that.
Customer Review: Great but hard to hold Summary: 1 Stars
I like this as a strainer but the little plastic/rubber bits around the handles actually make it hard to grip the strainer. They revolve around the metal making the whole thing "slippery." I wish they weren't there and am actually worried about any plastic chemicals melting into my tea. I think I'm going to buy a new strainer, one with only metal.
Customer Review: Difficult to grip Summary: 1 Stars
I found the Norpro Grip-EZ tea infuser difficult to use. The black material covering the handles is not firmly attached. It rolls around the handles as you attempt to grip them making them hard to hold on to as you load and unload the mesh basket. I will not purchase this product again.
