This thing is great. It tried a couple other stainless versions before reading the reviews here and this is the one I was looking for in the beginning. It's large enough so that I don't have to run to the compost bin every 2 days, easy off top, yet keeps in smells completely. Easily washable and a great handle to boot. Plus, I'm super picky about looks and this one fits the bill, sitting on my countertop. You hardly notice it. Highly recommended!Customer Review: Cute! And works great!

This little stainless steel trashcan works wonderfully. I keep mine on the counter right next to the sink, and it is easy to put food scraps in so you only need to make one trip every few days to the compost pile outside. The charcoal filter works WONDERFULLY...hard to believe, but even onions and forgotten scraps that turn into science experiments are impossible to smell when the lid is closed. A little expensive, but high quality and worth it.Customer Review: works as described

This stainless steel keeper works great for keeping compostable items stored until they can be put into a compost bin. Items can be held within it for several days. I have never noticed any odors related to it when the lid is closed. (I am very picky about that sort of thing) The filters seem to work very well. It is easy to clean and sanitize. I bought this to replace a plastic compost pail that had cracked and leaked. Before shopping we had decided that we would like a metal one, it would last longer and look better. I found this on Amazon and it looked perfect. I have to admit, when I took it out of the box, I was more impressed with it than I expected. This is a great little product. It allows me to scrape veggie scraps from the cutting board right into this attractive stainless steel container while I'm making dinner, then worry about it later. I empty it about once a week into the composter outside and it doesn't smell at all! Makes composting that much easier, even though it does kind of look like it should have come with a little plush oscar the grouch toy.
