Customer Review: Exactly what I needed

This knife bar is exactly what I needed since I have a danger junkie four year old.
I hung mine vertically on the upper cabinet end piece and have had absolutely no problems with the end cap slipping despite it not being intended as a vertically hung bar. Unlike other reviewers, I had no issues whatsoever with the included hardware, but perhaps that is due to the fact that mine is screwed into hardwood rather than drywall. In any event, it does what it should and my little one can no longer get to the knives. She did attempt climbing on the counter to get them, but was unable to remove them from the magnetic strip because it does grip very well--even for my large chef knives.
All, in all, I'm happy that it worked out because it's a tough magnet and helps me keep my aspiring chef a little more safe than I previously was able to do.
