I am very pleased with this counter compost holder so far. I have had it for over a month now and there is never any problems with odors. As another reviewer stated the handle is not meant to be used to carry the compost keeper - it slips off very easily. But we use compost bags inside of the container to take out to the yard, so it is not really a problem for our purposes. I have a family of 5 so it is necessary for us to empty this a couple of times per week, so while maybe a larger one would have been a bit more practical this was by far the cutest compost container I found and the frequent trips out to the yard are a good reminder to turn the compost tumbler. Would definitely recommend.
