Customer Review: I thought this might be crappy, but it was cheap and I needed one. Far better than expected.

This is a really great colander. It simultaneously has the heavy duty construction of something you would expect to find in a professional kitchen, and yet it looks absolutely beautiful. It's strong yet not too heavy, and just the right size for most home kitchen tasks.
I was suprised that when I actually received it, it looked just as good as in the picture. The copper color is not the result of enamel as you find on most colanders that cost double or more. And overall it far surpasses my expectations when ordered.
I especially appreciate the heavy duty connection of the handles and the colander itself with it's base. This thing could be used to wash rocks and not fall apart or become misshapen. And yet, again, it is an elegant, beautifully made item.
Bottom Line: Can't believe I got such a great item for so little money. This gives me confidence in the brand (Norpro) so I can buy other items from them via online without wondering if I'm just wasting my money on something that looks good but is functionally bad.
