I have been looking for a decent bread slicer for quite some time. This one sold by Amazon seemed to be exactly what I wanted. I ordered it and found it to be as good as stated. I can slice my homemade bread to a nice size --- not too thin and not too thick. If desired, I can cut thicker slices by simply removing the end piece of the slicer and moving the loaf forward or thinner slices by pulling the loaf end away from the end piece.Customer Review: Bread Slicer Guide

I have the Norpro 370 Bread Slicer and Guide. I bought it shortly after buying a new bread machine that makes long loaves rather than tall loaves of bread. It's exactly what I needed as I don't make the most even slices of bread. That is, I DIDN'T make them even - I do now using the slicer guide. Works great, does what I want it to, and I really like the crumb catcher. It makes so much less of a mess.Customer Review: Bread Slicer

I am very pleased with the Norpro Bread Slicer and Guide. I especially love the crumb catcher. It's easy to clean which is another plus. My only complaint was not having a bread knife long enough to cut through the bread without slipping out of the slot. After purchasing a 10 inch long bread knife everything is perfect. Now I'm back to using my bread maker and enjoying homemade bread.Customer Review: You know you need it

Without this thing, slicing bread at home is a hit or miss affair.
There are a half dozen or so slots on this device suggesting you could slice nearly half a loaf before removing the slices. Multiple slicing did not work very well for me, but removing each single slice yields a perfect slice every time. You do need a serrated knive (not included).

Great gadget!! I use it more as a guide for holding the bread in place rather than using their preset slice guide size. I move the bread to the size I want, lining it up between the plastic grooves, then slice through it. I now cut perfect homemade bread slices and am able to cut the whole loaf of bread neatly. I am extremely happy with this product.
