Customer Review: poor heat resistance and grip

a lot of the complaints here are regarding the size of the oven mitts. admittedly they fit lose but this wasnt really a concern. My primary concern is the fact that they do not work for their primary purpose which is holding hot items. The first time i used them to move a hot dish from the oven i could feel the heat of the dish to the point that it was uncomfortable. In addition to their poor heat insulation performance i found the surface to be slippery and i was concerned i would drop the items. I got this in the hopes they would be easier to clean but i think i will stick with my Le Creuset pot holders instead.Customer Review: Too hot to handle

What can I say? First use, I pulled a casserole out of the oven, and before I could get it to the counter, my hand was uncomfortably hot. I thought I was going to burn or drop the dish before I got it down. So, what's the point? It's not worth the postage to return it, so into the trash it goes.Customer Review: not for small hands

I'm sure this product works great for people with large hands but if you're petite or even have medium-sized hands, this product is more dangerous than safe. It's difficult to grip anything securely which can lead to more serious burns if you drop a pan/pot.
