I've been eying the Williams Sonoma version of this pan for a while, but I just did not want the Teflon coating. I was so pleased when this pan was "recommended" for me by Amazon. I love it!
I did seasoned it by rubbing oil all over and leaving it on the stovetop with low heat as another reviewer mentioned. Worked like a charm. I made my first batch today and no sticking.
I am now considering getting the Lodge version as well. My kids had so much fun munching on the nutella filled pancakes I made this morning, I think it would be great to have a second, larger pan for weekend breakfasts.

This is one awesome little pan. can not beat it for the price.
If you need a big one then by all means look for one.
But I seasoned it as you should with iron stuck it in a hot oven after dinner.
it was ready to use to make a after dinner Treat.
Made some with pancake mix with a little powdered sugar to the mix.
used some lucks fried apples for the filling,an they were Brown an did not stick.
I used Parkay low fat Butter spray.sprinkled powdered sugar on them an they was wonderful.
Wished I had bought more For Christmas Gifts. I know my Family will all want one.

this is not bad. it created batches of smaller like kind of pancake. the lodge brand created a bigger shell like shape. This one just has its 'twing'
I dont like to go on and describe my first time experience today-- see and believe, ive uploaded the pics here and in flickr.
I'd buy this if you're under budget and you want to create cute like pancake. it doesnt create those fuffy shell like---but its worth it!!!!!!
I love to cook so Im happy to have this in my collection. not preseasoned..so what i did my oil spray on it.

This pan is great for the price, the only thing you need to be sure and do IS SEASON IT PROPERLY!!!! if you do that and make a good batch then you will get a nice round tasty treat!! the shortening method is great, however i placed mine on the range (gas) and heated it up with veg oil for about 30 minutes poured it out and rubed it with a large wad of paper towels. let cool on the stove top and seasoned once more with a little butter. I use pam between each batch and have had NO issue of sticking. i found the bowl depth to be goodCustomer Review: Aebelskiver Galore!

This pan is by far the best value in an Aebelskiver pan. Resist the temptation to buy the one advertised on TV. The cast-iron construction of the Norpro pan makes it superior for cooking and durability. I made the little pancakes the day I got the pan using the recipe that came with it. How fun! And the possibilities for stuffed pancakes, both sweet and savory! Use a skewer to turn the pancakes to cook them on the top side. If you are considering an Aebelskiver pan - make it the Norpro!
