If you are doing very many cherries, this is definatley what you need. I have one and it is really great for taking the pits out of the cherris. Does not squeeze the juice out of the cherries, takes hours out of pitting cherries. A must have for anyone with a cherry tree.
Description of Norpro Deluxe Cherry Stoner/Pitter
Deluxe automatic cherry stoner. Clamps to work area. Ideal for canning and freezing. Boxed.Norpro's cherry pitter cuts down cherry pie preparation time immensely. Push the catch hopper and one of the pit gaskets in place, fill up the automatic feed tray with cherries, and start plunging the seeds out. This method minimizes wasted fruit and wasted time, adding speed and ease to pie making, canning, freezing, or dehydrating. Measuring 7-1/2 by 6 by 14 inches (length by width by height), this cherry pitter comes with a clamp, which will attach it securely to any countertop that's 3/4 inch thick, and two gaskets.
