This thing is great. I use to pit my cherries by hand, never again. This made it fast and easy. It is a little more messy so make sure you wear an old shirt that you don't care about because the juices flies forward. and it does miss a seed every once in a while. however I'm only talking maybe one out of a hundred. great product, nice price, and what a time saver. I've used this pitter for years and it can't be beat. Using is believing, so give it a try. I only wish the gaskets were available as my 2 have worn out over the course of 9 years and hundreds of pounds of cherries - no exaggeration! I love my Norpro Deluxe Cherry Stoner/Pitter. Cherries can be quickly pitted without being crushed or mangled. You just fill the hopper with cherries, press the plunger, and out pops a pitted cherry. There is even a receptacle to catch the pits. My kids actually fight over who will get to pit the cherries! It is definitely worth the money!Customer Review: Norpro deluxe cherry pitter

this cherry pitter is the best thing we've found to pit our sweet cherries. we can pit the cherries as fast as my husband can bring the buckets in to the house. We've done gallons and gallons in just an afternoon. They sell the parts (springs, gasket, basket) also, so we don't have to get a new one. well worth the money.Customer Review: Great Product

If you are doing very many cherries, this is definatley what you need. I have one and it is really great for taking the pits out of the cherris. Does not squeeze the juice out of the cherries, takes hours out of pitting cherries. A must have for anyone with a cherry tree.
