I love this little gadget. It's actually the third one I've had in about eight years. The first one, well, don't put it in the dishwasher. It wears it out fast. The second one disappeared and now I just purchased my third. I like my eggs medium and could never get them quite there until the egg timer. Very easy to use. Used to be able to buy at Crate and Barrel but now that Amazon has it, why hassle with that? Highly recommend if you like your eggs soft or medium...anyone can cook them hard.Customer Review: Perfect eggs, every time.

I have owned one of these egg timers for years and have always had perfect eggs. When not in use it rests on my window sill above my sink. When people ask wbout it, I explain what it is and how it works. I am always answered by, Wow! I need one of these. As they are hard to find I usually order 3 or four at a time and give them to my favorite people as gifts. Everyone loves theirs and treasure them as much as I do. Easter is coming, don't be without this wonderful Egg timer.

i wondered about this product when i ordered it, but the reviews i read made me go ahead and order it. i'm glad i did....i hated boiling eggs because i never knew when they were done, but now i do!! now if it would just ring to remind me i have the eggs on the stove!!! the reviews i read talked about a bad smell that lasted for about 3 uses, but i never smelled it!! so, if your scepticle about ordering this product, don't be!! you'll be glad you did Review: Most USEFUL little gadget!Summary: 5 Stars This is one of those inexpensive items that you will wonder how you ever lived without it! This is my second order... my son "swiped" the first one I ordered because he did not know when "the eggs were really done?" So, I ordered another for myself. It works perfectly and simply every time. Just drop it in the water with your raw eggs and the color change tells you when the eggs are done. Inexpensive and it works... my idea of a perfect product!

This simple little thing really works. I had one, gave one to my mother and she bought 4 more to give to friends. Just plop it into the water with the eggs and it starts turning black from the outside in to let you know how done they are. It is marked for soft boiled to hard boiled. I have used it probably approaching 100 times and the eggs aways come out the way I expect. I never could get soft boiled eggs to come out right before I had this.
