I have been using the norpro egg timer for many years, now actually this is my 4th one. after about 2 years with continuous use, they tend not to work. But I will say they know when the egg is done to your perfection. I would highly recommended this. I can't believe I've never seen or heard of the Norpro Egg Timer before now. All I can say is WOW. The inventors of this gadget are pure genius. I've cooked several dozen eggs since I received this item and every batch has come out flawless. Absolutely perfect eggs everytime. As a person who could set boiling water on fire, I can truely state that this hard boiled egg timer has helped me be able to boil an egg. Prior to this I never knew if the egg was done and usually I either over cooked them, or worse, under cooked them. Now they come out perfect everytime. I never boil my eggs without the Egg-Perfect Timer. They come out perfect every time. So easy to use, just put them in with the eggs. The timer darkens from the outside in. When the ring reaches the doneness you are looking for, take the pot off the stove. It looks like a gimmick but it really works!Customer Review: Works great for those picky about their eggs!

I love "medium" boiled eggs and this product is wonderful for making sure you get it just right! I had one when I was a kid, and as an adult I had to make sure I had one as well! If you like that perfect solid white with the slightly soft middle this is a great product for you! It's very durable too.
