I read the previous reviews and thought I would get something more than a beautiful garbage can, but the compost keeper doesn't seem to be much more than that. It is not totally ordor free. I put in extra filters and that seemed to help along with a sprinkling of baking soda. But the compost keeper alone is not ordor free. Moreover, taking out and putting in filters is not a simple matter either.

The unit works great for egg shells, peelings, coffee grounds, and more, while its stainless-steel and non-slip Engonomic handle ensures simple transport. In addition, the unit's tight-fitting lid holds a charcoal filter for odor-free use for up to six months, plus offers a center knob for easy lid removal. The container fits under the sink, but with its durable stainless-steel construction and beautiful satin finish, it's attractive enough to leave out on the countertop.
