Pretty good product overall. Needs to have an airtight lid. It tends to attract fruit flies. I opened it a few days ago and the fruit flies were terrible, and there were little worms in the bucket--disgusting! We had been using old coffee cans with airtight lids and never had that problem. You have to be very careful to close the lid very quickly so this won't happen.Customer Review: if you really want the extra filters, forget it!

I ordered this because I hate getting something that needs replacement filters and not buying extras along with it. That way I know they are the correct ones. Well, I got the item as stated with no replacement filters. I'm so upset over this matter that I think no one should buy this since other places sell this at the same cost. Until I get my replacement filters I an leaving my post as it is. once I get them I will write a review about the product.Customer Review: Don't be fooled into ordering this item for the extra filter set

I was disappointed that this item did not come with the replacement filter set that was advertised. I like the product overall. It appears durable. It is a gift. It would have been nice to have been able to give the extra filters as well. It seems other customers have had this same experience of not getting the extra filters.Customer Review: Bummer

I purchased this item around 6 months ago but only got 4 months use out of it. The bucket is very sturdy but the lid cracked all around bottom portion that fits into the bucket. The cracks prevented the lid from fitting into the bucket which forced me to discontinue use of this item. I would not purchase this item again.Customer Review: Fruit Flies!

This "read" better than it works in real life. Yes, it's attractive, but OH BOY does it let in the fruit flies. I'm sticking with my ice cream bucket to collect my food scraps. Waste of money, it was.
