Amazon's description shows that this product is oven and microwave-safe, although the packaging on the box itself does not say that it is microwave-safe. I did purchase it to see if it really works in the microwave, and it does - beautifully.
Roasted garlic in the microwave = ready in 2-3 minutes (using 2 bulbs)
In the conventional oven = 45 minutes minimuim
The box also doesn't say whether it's dishwasher safe - but I've washed it in the dishwasher many times already and it's fine. It didn't break, crack, or pit - so I think it is dishwasher safe.

This Norpro Garlic Baker performed just as I expected.Room for three large garlic cloves.First I soaked the lid thoroughly and then placed baker in cold oven.Followed instructions on box and roasted garlic to perfection.As garlic is roasting house starts to take on the aroma of a great Italian restaurant and you'll soon get very anxious to try this wonderful garlic on whatever else you think it goes well with. You may also enjoy roasting a large onion in this garlic baker.Customer Review: Works like a charm - easy cleanup!

Works exactly as described with large variances on roasting time - make sure to test your garlic after 35 minutes to see how done it is and when roasting a lot - it may be more than 45 minutes. It does get really sticky and gooey - but soaking for an hour in hot water took most of it right off and 2 hours for the most stubborn parts. I didn't have to heat my whole oven, fits in my convection over just fine. Garlic was perfect for my mashed potatoes!Customer Review: What did I do without it?!?!

I really wish that I did not wait so long to order this item. I had seen one years ago and thought "that could be cool to have". Now that I have one I tell everyone that this is a must have item if you like garlic. There is nothing better than fresh roasted garlic to add to your favorite recipes. The smell of the garlic roasting is reason enough to have one of these in your kitchen. It is easy to use and clean-up is not an issue either.Customer Review: A Most Wonderful Roaster

This garlic roaster is by far the most superior product I have ever used, and I have used hundreds of them. I whole heartedly endorse this wonderful tool and would recommend purchasing not only one but several to give away to all of the people on your block as well as every one of your relatives. They will thank you for years to come and invite you over for a garlic cookout if you play your cards right.
