Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Norpro Meat Grinder, Mincer, and Pasta MakerCustomer Review: Very surprised Summary: 5 Stars
Just got this grinder today and I was very surprised. At first I was concerned by the size. It was smaller than I thought it was going to be. It was so easy to put together, my wife had it all together by the time I got home. I had a 12 pound pork loin to grind so I went to work. First, it locked down on the granite counter top and didn't move throughout the whole job. This little machine worked great. I cubed the pork and fed it into the grinder and it handled everything. Granted it isn't as fast as an electric grinder but it worked well. The plastic is more than strong enough to handle the job and cleaning is very easy. For the price this is a great kitchen tool and I recommend it.
Customer Review: More than I expected Summary: 5 Stars
Ordered this thinking it would probably have to be returned, but was encouraged by past revues. It far exceeded my expectations! Wanted it to process venison for hamburger and sausage and it did a wonderful job, quick and easy. I did pay attention to reviews that stated to assemble according to directions, when I did, it looked so wrong, but was so right! Easy to clean and made quick work of grinding 10 pounds of venison and 4 pounds of pork shoulder, first a course grind and then used the fine blade. Have used it three time now and for the money it is great. Haven't tried the pasta maker and did not buy it for that function. Another plus is that it easy to clean after use.
Customer Review: WELL WORTH THE PRICE Summary: 5 Stars
This grinder works as advertised. I am impressed with the quality and
of the easy cleanup. Perhaps the customers who gave negative comments
do not know how to grind meat with a high fat content. If they cut the meat/fat into small 1/2-1 inch chunks and put it in the freezer for about an hour or so, it will grind perfectly. The meat/fat mix
must be as cold as possible to prevent smear and clogging. The base
stayed secure during the entire process. Once meat is ground, season as desired and let rest in refrig overnight. Next, place mixture back into freezer to get extremely cold and use sausage stuffer as needed.
Customer Review: Awesome machine! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic machine, especially coonsidering the price. It EASILY made the best ground beef I've ever had. For my first run, I used a whole chuck roast, and this little grinder went through it easily. I ended up with incredible ground beef, and the machine itself breaks down entirely (all pieces) and is so easy to clean. It really doesn't get any better than this at this price.
For a higher priced model, you'd expect motorized grinder and a bigger hopper, but other than that, there is no improving on this unit. Fantastic. Here it is in action with pics.

Customer Review: For the price, it does what it's supposed to do Summary: 5 Stars
I just received this. It took me 1 minute to put it together and 2 minutes to figure out that you can only put in strips about 3/4" X 2" X as long as you want. The meat has to fit between the spiral and the side of the insert so that it can be pulled into the grinder. I got it because I broke my Kitchen Aid meat grinder attachment trying to grind hard pepper seeds. Usually I just use it for grinding london broils into chopmeat. I'm gonna try those seeds on this and I bet it could do it. I bet it even makes pasta better than that Kitchen Aid too (well maybe I'll just stick to Ronzoni)!
