Great idea but the capacity was only 1 tablespoon, which doesn't warrant use unless you really are a low fat diet person. Item was boxed carefully and shipped promptly.
Description of Norpro Mini 4-Piece Butter Keeper Set
You'll love these cute, little stoneware butter keepers!In a butter keeper, your butter stays fresh, soft, and sweet for up to 30 days without refrigeration. Use these little butter keepers for individual settings or for flavored butters such as honey butter and herb butters.
These are especially nice and classy when added to each place setting so that each guest has her little butter dish.
By insulating, protecting, and cooling the butter, you can maintain it at perfect spreading consistency. Water is used to provide an airtight seal to protect the sweet taste of the butter. Simply place butter in the holder, pour cold water in the crock, and insert the butter holder into the crock.
