I had never made nor heard of spaetzle, but I was browsing for new kitchen gadgets and happened to find this product. I love homemade pasta, but hate how long it takes to prepare it; and it looked like this product might produce something with a similar flavor and texture to that of homemade pasta in much less time. So far I've only made spaetzle using the recipes on the product's packaging, and I've had delicious results every time. Now whenever I'm craving homemade pasta, I just use this to make homemade noodles in less than 30 minutes.Customer Review: Spaetzle

After comming back from a visit to S.Germany and Austria I had to figure out how to make spaetzle. I bought the maker and am very pleased by the results. The unit is well made considering the price. The spaetzle comes out perfect shape and size. I think one of the tricks is to just barely blend the ingredients together. The more you mix the batter the tougher they come. The unit is slightly messy to use especially at first but I seemed to get better after a few uses. Use one of those flexible spatulas to load the maker. Thanks to this spaetzle maker, I have finally been able to completely imitate my mom and grandma's chicken noodle soup! It was so easy to do (it comes with 2 recipes and I prefer recipe #2) and I felt like some la ti da cook when I ladled the finished product into bowls. Plus, you can't beat the price! This is a great gift for someone who likes to cook or doesn't have a lot of time to cook because the spaetzle is done faster than any boxed pasta and the mess and clean up is a cinch compared to normal pasta machines.Customer Review: So easy a college student can use it...

... and afford it! I've had this gadget for several months now, and it makes creating the spaetzle infinitely easier and way more fun. No more struggling with using a colander or facing the laborious monotony of scooping out individual noodles one by one with a spoon. It takes approximately 5 minutes to form the noodles with this (when it used to take me around 30-40 minutes without it). And even though it says to handwash it, I've been putting it in the dishwasher regularly, and so far, it's held up like a champ. :)Customer Review: Instant Success

My wife and I were supposed to bring a dish that reflected our ethnic heritage to a party. I'm a mutt, but she's totally German, so we decided to make a German dish. I went online looking for a spaetzle maker, found this one for a much more reasonable price than anything else on the market, and decided to give it a try.
It worked beautifully, and it was easier than grating cheese. The spaetzle were a hit at the party, and my wife swears they could have been made by her grandmother. Highly recommended.
