I was in the process of moving and could not find my old spaetzle hopper anywhere; I spotted this one for under $7 and figured it would be an acceptable substitute until I unpacked my house again. When I got it I immediately set to work making a batch of chicken spaetzle soup and decided that this spaetzle maker is even better than my old one (a rather odd contraption with a crank handle like a food mill). This has found a special place in my kitchen along with all of my other favorite gadgets!Customer Review: Outstanding

I just got this, so I can't comment on durability, etc. (but what do you want for the price). But it is outstanding for making spaetzle/knopfle. I love spaetzle, but usually don't make it b/c I always contrive to make a giant mess. But this thing is perfect. No mess, just whip up your batter, pour it in the hopper and away you go. There is a clip so it attaches to your pot, so no slippage. The spaetzle turned out beautifully. Whoever invented this type of design gets a gold star.Customer Review: Amazing!!

Tell me how I lived without this thing. REALLY easy to use. I wondered how well it would work, being such a simple contraption. I've used a couple of different dough recipes and so far so good. When you move that plastic thingy over the cheese grater part it really does push everything out. I guess thick dough might require hand pushing but hey, why spend more money? This one works great. Bought one for Mom immediately. I only wish Grandma were here to enjoy it.Customer Review: Too easy for something so tasty!

Not only is this item affordable but it makes quick and easy spaetzle. I don't know why I waited so long to own one?!?
We recently went to a newly opened German restaurant in town, and ever since I could not stop thinking about spaetzle. This is the end all cure for that problem.
Product packaging comes with an easy recipe and the product works like a charm. I cannot wait to have more and more and more! Yum!

This is great - it is very easy to use and makes perfect spaetzle just like I remember from my time in Bad Kreznach. The recipe on the back is what I used and dropped them in chicken stock. It fit well right over the pot and was easy to slide and use. I thought perhaps that it might be a big difficult to clean up, but it was no trouble at all. Everyone in my family enjoyed the apaetzle. I wish I'd bought one sooner.
