Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Norpro Spaetzle MakerCustomer Review: Spaetzle-nockerl maker essential for Paprikas Chicken Summary: 5 Stars
If you love authentic food of the Austro-Hungarian region, this is your kitchen essential. The sliding action of the cutter rapidly makes the tiny spaetzle, tender and worthy of your best Paprikas sauce! Also great in soups. I used to flip the spaetzle by hand with a spoon , over the hot pot, it took forever! This product shortens the time by 75%. The cutter is very easy to clean, just zip it into hot soapy water.
Customer Review: Small Dumpling maker Summary: 5 Stars
Is what I call it. I have bought two of these with The German Cookbook: A Complete Guide to Mastering Authentic German Cooking They work how they are suppose to and make great gifts for those who like to cook. I have an all steel one which is now put to the back of the drawer. Thanks Amazon.
Customer Review: adore it Summary: 5 Stars
I adore this spaetzle maker. I worked briefly at a Viennese restaurant where the most popular dish was kasespaeztle. I still have dreams about it. I tried making it myself with a potato ricer, but it just wasn't the same.
This spaetzle press is wonderfully easy to use (I was worried at first, but it is fantastic) and comes apart nicely to clean. 5 stars, highly recommend.
Customer Review: no complaints Summary: 5 Stars
The Spaetzle Maker is rather small but that works well for me. It's not meant for making big batches (so, for a big family you should choose a bigger size), otherwise is's perfect! The slider doesn't run on wheels which makes it easy to clean. Was afraid that it would be hard to slide that way, but so far I didn't have any problems at all with it getting stuck.
Customer Review: quick and easy... Summary: 5 Stars
What a wonderful tool...Easy to use, quick and doesn't use up lots of space. Definitely the way to make spaetzle (or Knoepli as they are called in Switzerland). This is definitely one of those speciality tools that's worth having, because there's nothing else that works as nicely and it makes the job SO much easier!!!
