This tool is probably the best thing I ever bought and found on amazon.com. It is my first time buying something just by reading reviews. And how lucky I am. Big thanks to the first reviewer. She(or he) gave a very detail and thorough review. And the tool is just as great as her(his) review. I have to say I am very satisfied with this tool. It is very easy to use and just the right weight. Also very good quality. If you are looking for squeezing juice with safety in mind, I suggest you get this stainless steel instead of cast iron which may have aluminum in it. Anyway, Very happy customer. Just hope it will not break after some uses like other brands. One correction for amazon's product description is this one is made in China not USA.Customer Review: Industrial strength

This is the last squeezer I'll have to buy. It is full size and sturdy, and the steel seems to be of the highest quality. It has come through the dishwasher many times and still looks new.
I owned one or two squeezers before this. One was enameled and I found out that enamel doesn't stand up to lime oil. Citric essential oils are really powerful solvents. Every once in a while a bit of paint would flake off into a Daiquiri. Not good. Another was either steel or pot metal and promptly got dingy and the hinge got wobbly.
My struggles and worries are past. I have used this squeezer for over a year, thrown the others away, and do not want to use anything else. It was expensive, but very well worth it.

Our previous juice press was one of those enameled types, and it worked well enough, but after three or four years of fairly heavy use (OK, so we drink a fair amount of margaritas around here...), the enamel was chipping off. I read everyone's reviews of this stainless steel product and decided to go with it, despite the few complaints. If you are considering this product, ignore those negative reviews! This is simply the best juicer ever. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and it squeezes every last drop out of our lemons and limes. I just got it and love it!!! No more mess or splashing, and saves on hand fatigue too since its so heavy and hardworking. One helpful tip: not only cut the fruit in half before you put it cut side down in the juicer, but score the edges of the cut half in just a few spots too. That will help the lime/lemon to be flattened out inside of it, and therefore juiced completely!! Great product!! (P.S. I reviewed this a year ago so I decided to add a new footnote: after 1 yr of use, with limes, lemons and oranges, it continues to work great and the handles never bent! I enjoy making cocktails at home. I don't use prepared mixers like Sweet and Sour but prefer to use fresh ingrediants and was looking for a quality hand press. I did not want one of the cheap yellow and green plastic ones. I came across this and decided to give it a try. It works very well for both lemons and limes. The caveat with lemons is that the huge ones are too big. Enough force can be exerted that you get all the juice out of the fruit. The citric acid has not marred the stainless steel. It is not the cheapest squeezer but I would buy it again. Highly recommended.
